Ballikayalar

Ballıkayalar Valley, a nature conservation area, is located near Tavşanlı Village within the borders of Gebze district. It is said that it got its name from the bees that used a large cave in the region as a hive and made their combs and honey there. Due to this honey, known as black hive honey, the region began to be known differently over time as honey caves, honey caves, honey rocks and honey rocks.
